Hillside is an attractive brick and flint family home in the heart of the village of Gallowstree Common. The property has been carefully and sensitively renovated and extended by the current owners and now offers spacious family accommodation of nearly 3,000sq.ft. over 3 floors. Outstanding features include a 22ft kitchen/breakfast room, large garden room, 24ft drawing room, 2 further reception rooms, 3 beautifully fitted bathrooms and a detached annexe.

LOCATION
Hillside is situated in the centre of the Oxfordshire village of Gallowstree Common amongst other character properties. The village has an active community; there is a playgroup and a primary school, a Church, village hall, recreation ground, village well and duck pond. The surrounding countryside has some lovely walks and bridle paths and a well-regarded pub, The Reformation, is within a short stroll. Henley-on-Thames (5 miles) has a good range of leisure and shopping facilities including a Waitrose, caf?s and specialist shops, with more comprehensive amenities available in Reading (6 miles). Both Henley and Reading Railway Station have good services to London, Paddington (from 45 mins and 29 mins respectively) with Crossrail allowing direct access to the City, Canary Wharf, the West End and Heathrow from 2019. The area is well served for schools, both state and private, including Chiltern Edge School, Shiplake College, Reading Blue Coat, The Oratory and Queen Anne's in Caversham. The M4 is about 11 miles away and connects to the M3 and M25 motorway network.

OUTSIDE
The gardens of Hillside are a lovely feature and back onto open fields. To the front, the property is bounded with a brick and flint wall with a newly planted laurel hedge and a large gravel drive leads to a detached double garage. The grounds to the side and rear are mainly laid to large areas of lawn and were formerly a tennis court. The boundaries are edged with mature trees and hedges giving privacy and seclusion.
