" Originally built around 1905, 7 Poughley Cottages is an attractive attached property bursting with character and original period features and tastefully extended, set in approximately 0.25 acres of land.
The timber framed South facing conservatory has views over the formal garden area. The rest of the ground floor consists of a sitting room, with open cast iron fireplace and wooden French doors opening on to the rear garden. Kitchen, which has been fitted with a varied range of painted solid oak fronted units and fitted appliances with beech block worktops, quarry tiled utility room, boot room, and downstairs cloakroom. The kitchen leads through to the dining room with solid French Oak flooring and original period fireplace.
The first floor accommodation provides a family bathroom and three bedrooms including a master bedroom suite consisting of dual aspect bedroom, shower room and a separate dressing room, all with views over the garden and woodland. 7 Poughley Cottages lies just outside Woodlands St Mary, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by woodland and farmland, situated along the Old Roman Road of Ermin Street which starts at Stockcross near Newbury. This accessible location is ideally placed between the thriving market towns of both Newbury and Hungerford where all amenities can be found along with rail links to London Paddington. The M4 (J14) is approximately 1.5 miles away, giving access to London, Reading, Bristol and Bath, and the A34 is accessed via the M4 (J13).
