I've lived in Ventnor for over eight years and have never tired of its charm and unspoilt beauty. Besides the beautiful coastal walks, there is The Winter Gardens with its eclectic mix of all year round entertainment overlooking the Marina and the local fishery. There is also a wonderful mix of wine bars, pubs and restaurants along the promenade. In the town there are antique shops, a supermarket, butcher, bakery and delicatessens. There is also an excellent bus service. From the downs, the highest point on the island, there are spectacular panoramic sea views. If seeking a quieter, slower pace of life, one that is more rewarding and fulfilling, then Ventnor is the place to be.
