" The original part of this charming house is believed to date back approximately 300 years and was formerly farm worker accommodation. The White House has been considerably extended and improved over the years and now includes well proportioned accommodation and a generous attached annexe. The main house has a charming sitting room with an attractive inglenook fireplace, a formal drawing room, a dining room, a generous study and a kitchen/breakfast room which opens into a conservatory. The kitchen has recently been refitted with a comprehensive range of units and integrated appliances and also has a Rayburn oven and boiler. In addition there is a cloakroom and small utility room. The first floor has a master bedroom with a large en suite bathroom with ample built in wardrobes. The en suite has a free standing bath, shower cubicle and twin sinks. There are three further bedrooms, a bathroom and a cloakroom. The annexe, which can be accessed from the main house, has two reception rooms, a kitchen, a ground floor bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a first floor bedroom with an en suite cloakroom. The annexe is regularly rented out and is particularly popular in peak times.
The house has a good size garden, without being enormous and the house is surrounded on most sides by farmland and countryside. At the end of the garden there is a double garage, a large timber store and a summer house. Off road parking is provided in front of the house and in front of the garages.

Merston is a charming and unspoilt village with a range of period properties and former farm buildings. The cathedral city of Chichester offers excellent high street shopping, many fashionable restaurants, cafes and bars, Festival Theatre and a mainline station to London Victoria. Goodwood is famous for its many event days including the world renowned Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival for motor racing enthusiasts and a season of horse racing including the Qatar Goodwood Festival. There are excellent sailing facilities around Chichester Harbour and windsurfing from the beaches at West Wittering. The area is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, with beautiful walks and cycle tracks over the South Downs and around the harbour.
