Exterior 
Atherstone House stands on an elevated plot, and is approached from the road over a gravelled driveway leading to an area for parking in front of the garage and carport. As you turn onto the drive there is a raised area of lawn to the right, and the drive is bordered on the left by brick and cobble edging with shrub beds, with a hedge along the front boundary. The garage has power and lighting and the carport has lighting and a door leading into the house and rear garden, the garage, which has an up and over door houses the boiler.
From the parking area a wide path flanked by shrub beds and mature trees including a weeping birch, and blossom tree leads to the front porch. There are paths to either side of the house to the rear garden. The landscaped rear garden is planted with a variety of mature trees including malus, maple, holly and apple, and shrubs in beds, two wide areas of lawn are partially divided by an ornamental archway, with the lower area of lawn being overlooked by a timber summerhouse, and has a raised border to the rear boundary. Alongside the house is a wide sun terrace with ornamental wall a trellising.
The gardens are enclosed by fencing, there is exterior lighting, and an external tap.


DIRECTIONS
From Norwich follow the A47 east, bypassing Dereham and continuing to Swaffham. Leave the A47 at the roundabout as signed Swaffham following this road to the town. On reaching Swaffham turn left into North Pickenham Road by Lydney House Hotel, follow this road as it leaves the town, passing the Rugby Club, Atherstone House will be found the last house on your right hand side.
