Outside: The property is surrounded by a small garden on 3 sides and which is predominantly lawn and edged with a fence and hedges. Parking is provided closeby in a shared parking bay. Location: 4 Newfield Terrace is located close to the Archnacroish ferry pier on the beautiful Isle of Lismore (gaelic: Lios Mor). The island is a fertile, low-lying and retains a rich green look due to the limestone that forms it. The name is derived from gaelic, Lios (garden) and Mor (Big). Situated in the centre of Loch Linnhe, the Isle of Lismore is approximately 10 miles long and 1 mile wide and has approx. 180 inhabitants. The island can be reach from Oban via the car ferry which takes approx. 50 mins or the passenger ferry from Port Appin taking only 5 mins. The island has a church, primary school, shop/post office, a Public Hall and an award-winning Gaelic Heritage Museum and caf?.
The passenger ferry runs to Lismore from Port Appin. Ferries depart on the hour from Port Appin and depart Lismore at 15 minutes past the hour. The crossing takes approx. 10 minutes. The ferry does not run between noon and 2pm and generally ceases at 7pm, although for a very reasonable charge the ferry can be organised out with these hours.
