" Watlington is a busy and popular market town, set in the Chilterns. It is reputed to be England`s smallest town, and has a long history with mentions of local manors in the Doomsday book. There are a local shops, including a butcher , a chemist, bakers and a delicatessen, plus a Co-op. There are local sports facilities including football, cricket, tennis, squash and bowls. Local schools include Watlington Primary School and Icknield Community Colllege. There are many opportunities for local walks, cycling and outdoor activities, including The Ridgeway national trail and the Chiltern cycle route.
