" Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, a 4 bedroom bungalow with extension potential (STPC)

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, a light and airy bungalow with potential to extend (SSTP) The village had its beginnings in the Anglo-Saxon era. It is in a valley running eastwards, the stream of which flows through the centre of the village to join the River Thame. The stream used to be in the open, with stepping stones for people to cross it. However, it is now in a culvert that runs along under the High Street. The village is lively with shops, pubs and good schools, and is ideally located for access to the M40 and into Oxford. Anson Close is a well located but quiet cul-de-sac, close to village amenities. The current owners have been here a short time but have made some upgrades including a new bathroom suite, relaying the driveway to the front of the house and renewing some of the double glazing. The bungalow has a very light feel, and there is potential to convert the garage or extend into the roof (subject to consents). On entering the property through the porch there is a feeling of light in the hallway. The hall has handy built in storage, and doors off to the majority of rooms, including the cloakroom. The kitchen leads off from the hall, with a back door to the garden, and a window overlooking the garden. The kitchen is fitted with a range of cupboards, and workspace with spaces for appliances.
The reception is next to the kitchen, and is a lovely space with built in gas fire and space for a dining table. Off this room is a small sun room which takes advantage of views to the lovely garden. The reception room is a comfortable family space. To the rear of the room is a door to the master bedroom. The owners have fitted a new carpet to this room, and it has a lovely picture window looking onto the garden. The bedroom has an en-suite wet room. To the other side of the main hall is a smaller hall leading to the newly refitted family bathroom. This is fitted with a contemporary white suite, and has been cleverly extended so it is a more functional and usable space. There are 3 bedrooms to this side of the property - 2 doubles and a single - and all are light and airy. Outside the garden wraps round 2 sides of the house and is very private. Previous owners have added a number of Japanese type features including a bridge over the stream that runs through the garden. The current owners have 2 children who love the number of 'hiding' places the garden offers. There is also a lawned area and patio area. To the rear of the garden is a large workshop with light and power. This has been used for making pottery in the past, but could also be used as a wonderfully large office, or hobby space. To the front of the property is a recently repaved driveway with parking for several cars. As the house is 'L' shaped the front is also a very private courtyard garden. The garage is oversized, with light and power, and could be converted if desired and subject to planning
In summary 5 Anson Close is a lovely family home, in a quiet location. Mains electric, water, gas
