" Where it is Clifton House can be found in the desirable village of Kingston Bagpuize which rubs shoulders with Southmoor, which is just a stone?s throw away. Kingston Bagpuize is approximately 11 miles west of Oxford. Witney is 9.4 miles and Abingdon 8.6 miles away. Both have a great range of shops and the necessary Waitrose. You have the best of both worlds here, if you need a paper or a pint of milk there is the choice of newsagent, post office, two pubs and a large store; so everything on the doorstep and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village school is highly regarded and adds to the great community spirit. Millets farm is very close by and is possibly the best farm shop in Oxfordshire - there is something for the whole family, come rain or come shine. If you are looking for a gastro pub, Longworth, a quick 5 minute car journey or leisurely 20 minute stroll, is home to The Blue Boar which looks just like a village pub should. Delicious home cooked, locally produced food and occasional live, mellow jazz. For more of a fine dining experience you can walk to Fallowfield, once home to the Begum Aga Khan and now, where you will savour the delights of daily picked vegetables from the kitchen garden, all created by the head chef Adam Abbott.
