" Why we like it:
Corner Cottage is a unique property situated at the edge of South Moreton village in an area of `outstanding natural beauty` To the rear of the property there are open fields and far reaching views across the Berkshire Downs. The original cottage comprises of two bedrooms and dates back to the late 17th Century, with many of the original features, including the oak staircase leading to the bedrooms, open beams and a large Inglenook feature fireplace as a centrepiece to the living room. The kitchen has recently been restored and keeps the charm and character of the property, with the oil-fired central heating system also having been replaced at the same time.

The property also boasts a self contained two storey Edwardian annexe which has separate access and this offers scope for separate accommodation for either a younger sibling, au pair, a relative. This could also be let out to generate an additional income. There is parking with the property and a driveway at the side, garage and a home office/studio with a small private area at the rear enjoying the panoramic views. The gardens surround the property, and whilst they seclude the property at the front, the principle gardens are at the rear and they are attractively landscaped with various levels and a large terraced area taking advantage of the South Westerly aspect.

What it offers:
A large sitting room with feature Inglenook fireplace. Re fitted cottage kitchen with recently installed boiler. Two double bedrooms served by a main bathroom and also an en suite dressing room and shower. A separate self contained one bedroom annexe with kitchen/breakfast room, living room and double bedroom with bathroom. A separate garage, home office/studio with panoramic views. Surrounded with mature gardens secluded from the road. The rear boundary immediately adjoins open fields and an unspoilt rural landscape looking towards the Berkshire Downs.

Location:
The village of South Moreton lies in a flat plane between Wallingford and Didcot, overlooked by the Wittenham Clumps and Blewburton Hill to the south. The surrounding area has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and remains largely unspoilt. South Moreton is the larger of the two villages and has many traditional properties dating back to the fifteenth century. The village has an excellent local pub, primary school and is within two miles of Didcot Parkway Station (about to be redeveloped) London Paddington 50 mins.
