" Description:
A Victorian semi-detached house which has been modernised and extended in recent years and now offers excellent ground floor living space together with three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. On the ground floor, the property is entered through the hall with a solid Oak front door and stairs to first floor. The 25ft sitting/dining room is dual aspect having been extended to the rear, the sitting area to the front has a lovely feature firpelace with metal surround and marble hearth, the dining area features bi-fold doors leading to the rear deacked terrace. There is a connecting door to the kitchen/breakfast room which has a large central `island` providing work space and a seating area, there is a solid wood work surface with under counter cupboards and drawers and a 5 ring gas hob. There are further wall and base cabinets in dark wood and gloss with built in twin electric ovens, a Siemens fridge/freezer, Baumatic coffee/expresso maker, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a downstairs cloakroom/wc. To the front of the cottage is the useful study. On the first floor there is access to all bedrooms including a 14ft7 master bedroom with a view over open fields to the front to a thatched cottage and fields, the en-suite has a walk in shower, wc and wash basin. There are two further bedrooms, the larger of the two has a deep storage cupboard/wardrobe. The family bathroom has a white suite with shower over the bath and fully tiled walls.

Set back from the road behind a five bar gate and hedgrow with a lawned front garden with borders. There is a gravel driveway to the front and side providing ample off road carparking. To the side is a gated entrance leading to the rear garden. To the rear of the house is a quality decked area with inset lighting with access from the bi-fold doors in the dining area. The garden is then laid to lawn with flower borders, raised wooden vegetable beds and a solid garden shed/workshop. Situated close to the village centre, just across the road are open fields and footpaths which in turn lead up to the Wittenham Clumps. The village has an award winning local pub the ?Red Lion`, a village run co-operative shop, a post office a nearby garden centre and a thriving village community with plenty of clubs and associations. The nearby Thameside town of Wallingford has a large Waitrose supermarket and a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs together with a monthly farmers` market, a cinema and a theatre. Communications are excellent with access to the M4 Junction 12 at Theale and the A34 to Newbury and Oxford. Didcot Mainline Station is only 4 miles away with a regular service to London Paddington in approximately 42 minutes. There is an excellent choice of schools in the area including private schools The Oratory Near Woodcote, Moulsford boys school and Cranford House Preparatory School, Radley and Chandlings Manor towards Abingdon.
