" A substantial grade II* listed farmhouse situated amongst some of the most beautiful rolling countryside. The original house dates back from the 16th Century, with later additions, and is offered with circa 22 acres of gardens and grounds. Description Continued The grounds include a vegetable garden, orchard and pasture paddocks. In recent years, the owners ran a poultry business and accessed via a separate entrance to the house is the former free range poultry unit with ample parking. The farmhouse was the subject of some refurbishment in the 1990's, under the supervision of CADW, to ensure that the historical integrity of the property remained intact whilst providing more modern facilities. The property retains many period features including chamfered beams, attractive fireplaces and inglenooks, leaded oak mullioned windows and sash windows. Monmouth provides road connections to the M4 and M5 motorways and the regional centres of Bristol and Cardiff. The area is well known for its for cycling, walking, fishing and there are 4 major golf courses within a short drive and horse racing at Chepstow Race Course. For gastronomic enthusiasts, there are several well renowned local restaurants and Abergavenny hosts a prestigious annual Food Festival.
