" Highclear House is an absolutely fabulous new residence constructed to authentically replicate the light and airy feel of the 1920s Arts & Crafts architectural style complemented with a luxury contemporary interior not found in other new residences. Externally this is created by features such as the double fronted art deco stained glass windows, either side of the teak entrance door and the imposing main gable overhanging the supporting corbels together with ornate details to the joinery above. The quality is evident throughout, endorsed by the especially commissioned large windows in teak frames creating an atmosphere of light and space, which include leaded panes to the front. Inside natural timber is used carefully and tastefully in features in the hall and sitting room, with high ceilings creating the feeling of light flooded space and elegance. Throughout the house all fittings proclaim quality whether in the form of porcelain floor tiles or where rooms are fitted with luxury deep piled carpets and tastefully selected Farrow and Ball paint colours. The spectacular 30' kitchen/breakfast room is equipped with bespoke fitments including integrated appliances, the sanitary ware throughout the house is appointed in modern contemporary style. The property is one of just two houses replacing an original cottage at the top of Old Hill at its junction with Old Hill Crescent and located in the lea of the Holy Trinity Parish Church. The Community Hall and Greyhound Inn are only a short walk away and Christchurch has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the City's most desired residential areas in the catchment of Caerleon Comprehensive and local public Schools with high academic results.Local facilities are available in the historic Roman Fortress Town of Caerleon only one mile distant via Christchurch Road and Belmont Hill, while the city centre of Newport is 2.5 miles away with a bus route close by. The Celtic Manor Resort and Junction 24 of the M4 are only a few minutes drive away, the latter enabling easy travel to the Cities of Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and London or the Midlands via the links to the A449/M50 or M5.As the house name implies, from its panoramic elevated position, wide ranging views are available over Caerleon in a north and easterly direction across Monmouthshire with the Sugar Loaf and Black Mountains visible. In a westerly direction views encompass the hills above the Welsh Valleys of the Ebbw, Sirhowy and Rhymney Rivers towards the Brecon Beacons beyond. "
