The Old Forge is a beautiful substantial four double bedroom Grade II Listed home which occupies a large mature plot and is set within the Conservation Area of this sought after village.
Sitting in front of the property is a distinctive local landmark, one of the highest stacks of horse shoes in the world. A unique and distinctive reminder of the village's heritage. The property features the old forge which is circa 1790 and in the mid 19th century a substantial Victorian house was constructed which was then subsequently extended in the 1990's.

It is at present a pile of some 30,000 horse shoes, constructed originally between 1945 and 1965 by George Flinders who was the blacksmith for 31 years at Scarrington Forge. This monument stands about 17 feet high and the stack was dismantled and rebuilt in 2007 following disintegration and the taking of souvenirs by treasure hunters and is the largest known stack of used horse shoes in the world. Turn left onto the A52 towards Grantham and travel past the petrol station taking the next left turn signposted to Scarrington.
