Beaton House is located within the highly regarded and historic location of Holme Pierrepont. The property was originally built in 1874 as part of the Manvers Estate and is located opposite Holme Pierrepont Hall, the Pierrepont family seat. The word 'Holme' comes from Old English and Old Norse words for a small hamlet and 'Pierrepont' is French for Stone Bridge. The family came over with William the Conqueror in 1066 and settled in Nottinghamshire in 1280. The hamlet of Holme Pierrepont lies just five miles from Nottingham city centre yet is part of a rural community with arable farmland, rare breed sheep and cattle and consists of 20 residences. The property is part of an active community and is part of a voluntary residents association that meets three times per year.The village of Radcliffe on Trent (approximately one mile) enjoys good local facilities including shops, banking restaurants and public houses and there is a regular bus service to Nottingham, Bingham and Newark on Trent. The highly popular West Bridgford is also a short distance away providing an even further range of services and facilities. The property provides ease of access to the regions commercial and retail centres as well as rail access to the city of London. The property is also well placed for high grade schooling.

Directions
From the centre of Radcliffe on Trent turn down The Green towards Holme Pierrepont. Entering the hamlet, continue straight ahead and the entrance to the property can be found on the left hand side as you leave the hamlet. Holme Pierrepont can also be accessed from turning off the A52 from Gamston following signs to the National Watersports Centre past Blotts Country Club, then Holme Pierrepont Hall and further down a country lane when the property can be found on the right hand side as you enter the village.
