" Bamburgh is one of the most popular coastal villages along Northumberlands heritage coastline, providing a wide selection of cafes, restaurants, hotels and various shops, including a renowned butcher. Bamburgh castle itself is the villages crowning glory and overlooks a fabulous beach and dunes. there is a great community feel to the area and a number of local clubs such as indoor bowls, croquet, cricket, Scottish Country dancing, bell ringing and monthly coffee mornings in the pavilion. The nearby village of Seahouses provides a wider range of amenities with schools, dentists, doctors, co-op supermarket and a petrol station. Bamburgh has a bus service, making travel to Berwick and Alnwick an easy commute, and there are train stations at both Berwick and Alnmouth giving good commuting to London and Edinburgh. This spacious bungalow is an 80% shared ownership property, the remaining 20% is owned by ISOS housing association, making this a highly affordable way of being able to live in this very sought-after village, which is usually unaffordable to most. The property has set requirements that the owner is aged over 55, and an application form needs to be submitted to ISOS for approval. A real sense of community can be felt in this cul-de-sac of likeminded people enjoying their homes and gardens in this idyllic location. Entering the property through a UPVC front door into a light hallway, there is a cupboard which houses the hot water tank, and loft access. Leading off from the hall is the master bedroom, a light and airy double room with wonderful views of Bamburgh castle. This home has some of the best views of the castle on the street. Bedroom two is a smaller double room, with good views over the private rear garden. The bathroom is a light space which is fully tiled with sage green suite, with electric shower over the bath, WC and pedestal hand basin. The lounge is a good sized cosy room with fabulous views directly looking at Bamburgh castle. The room features a square box bay window. The kitchen is a spacious bright room with lots of wall and base units with rolled top surfaces, and a stainless steel sink with tiled splashback. The kitchen window overlooks the south-facing rear garden, and a door leads in outside. There are spaces for fridge-freezer, a washing machine and for a freestanding cooker. Externally to the front there are well looked after gardens, with lawns and planted flower beds. A driveway leads to the single garage. To the rear there is a lovely sunny garden with large paved sitting area, a raised lawn and planters. The garden has a very private feel, a lovely place to rest and relax. The garage can also be accessed from the rear garden; a window in the rear of the garage allows natural light into the single garage. The property benefits from mains water, mains electric, mains sewage and electric central heating, and uPVC windows, which are brown on the outside and white on the inside. The property is council tax band B. Energy Efficiency Rating: to be confirmed.
