" Overview
A well-maintained and surprisingly spacious 4 bed detached house, situated near the head of a cul-de-sac in a peaceful Tyne Valley village with excellent commuter links.

The house has a large lounge, separate dining room, breakfasting kitchen, conservatory, downstairs WC, four double bedrooms (one with en-suite), family bathroom, garage and lots of storage space. It has full gas central heating, and is well insulated with cavity wall insulation and a high level of loft insulation as well as full double glazing. It has pleasant gardens to front and rear, with the back garden in particular offering a good degree of privacy.

Riding Mill is a pleasant village in the Tyne Valley with good communications to Hexham

(approximately 6 miles), Newcastle (approximately 16 miles) and the rest of Tyneside, Wearside and Durham. There is easy access to the A69 dual carriageway from Newcastle to Carlisle, an hourly train service and three buses an hour to Newcastle and to Hexham.

"What we like most about the house" say the present owners "is that it feels light, airy and spacious. There's plenty of room for family members to come together or get on with separate activities as they wish. Its not expensive to run, either - you won't find many houses of this type with an energy performance rating as good as ours. The house is near the station, making it ideal for commuting into Newcastle. And there are some lovely views up the Tyne Valley from the front bedrooms.

"The village itself is a really good place to live. There's a village shop selling a surprisingly wide range of groceries, a very highly regarded first school, a playgroup for the under-fives, Anglican and Methodist churches, a pub and TWO village halls. There's a whole range of active clubs and societies, including a Drama Club, a Choral Society, a Tennis Club, a Cricket Club, a Photographic Society and a Bridge Club.

"So why are we moving? Simple. Our family has grown up and left home, so we don't need the space any more."
