" How would you like to wake up to stunning views across farmland and to live in a family size semi in a non estate position which is situated in a favoured village location. Then put this house at the top of your viewing list as it is totally unique and individual in its location and is actually situated on a farm with access through the farm yard. The house backs on to the London Road and fronts open fields and has gardens to front, side and rear. If you want to enjoy the good life, the gardens are set out in a combination of flower beds and borders with a productive plot laid to vegetables and fruit plants. The owners actually supply themselves and their family with vegetables for most of the year. The owner was formally the farm manager and was given the opportunity to buy his tied accommodation. He jumped at the chance to own his own home and the family have enjoyed living here for the last 31 years.Since owning the house, the owners have erected a conservatory where they spend many hours relaxing and enjoying the views. They have also refitted a kitchen and redesigned and converted the bathroom to a shower room. There is an oversize garage with a workshop area plus a driveway and there is ample parking when visitors call.

What the Owner says:

As a retired farm manager, it was lovely to be able to buy our tied accommodation and remain on the farm where we could enjoy the rural lifestyle yet be within walking distance of the village centre with its shops and mainline railway station. We are both avid gardeners and my wife tends the flowers and the shrubs whereas I concentrate on the more productive side of the garden. We have raised our family here and it was a wonderful place for them to grow up. They have learned to appreciate the countryside and have passed on these values to their own children. We are looking to move to a bungalow and feel it is time that a new family enjoys this lovely lifestyle.
