" They say location is everything when it comes to buying a house. If that is true then this one should jump out and say ‘buy me’. Why? Because it offers the best of both worlds as it is within a stones throw of Gillingham High Street and close to the Great Lines Heritage park giving the feeling of being in the countryside. Not only is it convenient for the shops but also the main line station, making it ideal for the commuter and with a regenerated sports centre only a ‘hop, skip and a jump’ away an early morning swim or gym session is only minutes away.Whilst the location is a big plus the house itself offers so much more. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is a standard Victorian house as it provides far larger accommodation that seemingly similar properties. The rooms are larger than you may expect with an 18’ kitchen/breakfast room where cats can be safely swung without fear. Upstairs offers the rare combination of three separate bedrooms and a bathroom so no need to traipse downstairs in wee small hours to the loo, although there is a downstairs WC as well. In addition to all this the current owner has managed to update and improve the house yet maintain it’s original charm and character.

What the Owner says:

When I first saw the house twenty years ago, I was immediately struck by the location. Everything else I had looked at seemed hemmed in by the surrounding houses and the views over the parkland gave it a far more attractive and open feel. I was also impressed with large rooms with high ceilings and period features, which again made it stand out from the crowd.I have many improvements to the house and garden but have always tried to keep the balance between modernising and retaining the character of the house that attracted me in the first place. I feel confident that I have created an ideal family home that I know the next owners will enjoy.
