" If you are after an attractive Victorian semi-detached cottage, set back behind a picket fence and situated in a most idyllic position, then look no further. Hidden up a quiet lane just off the high street in the Medieval village of Yalding, you are walking distance of a very good local pub, general store/post office, and an award winning primary school. Yalding is famous for its farmers markets, Christmas fairs and village community – there’s plenty for you to get involved in.
As you walk through the gate you will see the useful garage and the garden that wraps around the front, side and rear of the property. The inside the cottage does not disappoint; with beautiful bright and light rooms and neutral decor. The sitting room has a chimney focal point with fitted electric fire, but this could be reverted to a traditional open fire. The kitchen diner is of a good size with space to put that ‘must have’ farm house table.
Upstairs the bedrooms have plenty of built in storage, there are two bathrooms and from the second floor bedroom you have lovely views across the church yard. The whole house has been recently refurbished to include the windows, doors, new flooring, tiles, and carpet so this home truly is somewhere you can move straight into. We extended the property to create a garage and additional bedroom upstairs, but feel there is potential to do more should someone want to extend further. Yalding is a wonderful village to live in, you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and you have a good selection of local amenities on your doorstep.
