" THIS FAMILY HOME IS IN A QUIET CUL-DE-SAC, WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF LENHAM SQUARE. This 1940's semi-detached house is set close to the centre of Lenham with The Square offering a variety of shops, pubs and different events held throughout the year. The entrance to the house leads into the hallway. You then go through to the large kitchen which was fitted just four years ago with solid oak cupboards and a Butler sink. There are some exposed beams giving a traditional look and a large walk in coat cupboard. There is a utility cupboard with the boiler in and is ideal for a washing machine or tumble dryer. Additionally there is more storage under the stairs. There is space for range style oven, American style fridge freezer and plumbing for a dishwasher. The living room/diner has electric wood burner style fire in addition to the gas central heating. There is laminate flooring and a bow window to the front with a Georgian style leaded upvc window. The patio door opens to the rear garden onto a raised patio area. Steps lead down to the lawn and timber decking which is positioned so you can enjoy the sun until the last minute of the day. A shed is also included. The first floor includes the bathroom which has a rolled top bath sitting on chrome feet and a telephone style shower head. There is a Victorian style high level cistern and storage under the sink. The floor is vinyl tiles and there is a double aspect window. The main bedroom currently fits a king size bed and also has double aspect window. The second double bedroom has a staircase leading to a loft room. This would make a perfect games room for teenagers. There is a third single bedroom with a fitted cupboard. The front garden has a small lawn area and block paved parking for 2/3 cars. Location
Lenham is a market village in Kent, originally mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is situated on the southern edge of the North Downs, halfway between Maidstone and Ashford, just off the A20. The centre of the village is a picturesque square and includes its own bakery, post office and bank along with variety of other shops. There are two pubs, one of which is a hotel, a restaurant and tea room. It also has a local Primary and Swadelands Secondary School. Events are held throughout the year including a regular monthly Country Market and their are various clubs for the young and old, including Youth Club, local Guides troupe, Bowles Club and Morris Dancing. Lenham has its own railway station which is on the Ashford to London Victoria line, via Maidstone East. "
