" As you enter the two acres of landscaped privacy enclosing The Beeches through the large iron gates you immediately move into a world where life can truly be lived at your own pace. The Beeches is not only a magnificent country house set in truly unique grounds it is also an exceptional property offering a complete lifestyle. When the gates are closed on the outside world the sense of peace and tranquillity is entire and absolute.

From the first time we saw The Beeches we knew in our hearts that this was to be our lifelong home. The sense of balance of the house within its magnificent setting is strongly felt as you follow the curve of the gravelled front drive, sheltered by an avenue of mature hardwood trees and accompanied by views of the entire length of the ornamental lake, up to the charming period residence. It was obvious then and now that here was something very special indeed.

In no way discouraged that this lovely old house was then in need of some dedicated care and attention, we set about entirely restoring, enhancing and modernising it, wing by wing, into a stunning family home of three separate wings containing a total of five to six first floor double bedrooms and three bathrooms. We similarly restored and enhanced the landscaped gardens.

The investment of care and attention is now apparent throughout the entire property. Nothing has been rushed and the meticulous planning has produced something of quality and excellence, which has been recognised through awards and commendations. Now restored to its former glory, The Beeches is a fine period Georgian country house that eminently fulfils all the demands and requirements of 21st century living, with a gentile elegance and style.

We have thoroughly enjoyed everything that living here has given us. Our children have grown up in this house, and the grounds have been their childhood playground. They have watched the comings and goings of wildlife, played in the gardens with their friends, climbed trees, pitched tents and fully benefitted from all the freedom and enjoyment that the space allows.

From our perspective, the space of the house and gardens gave us the comfortable freedom to entertain and accommodate guests, with the highlight of the whole year being Christmas. The house, then filled to the brim with our nearest, dearest and excited children, was always a very special time indeed, and sharing this house with our family and friends has given us our greatest joy.

We have run our UK and overseas businesses here and handled all the necessary administration from The Beeches. Returning home was always the greatest joy as the space and sanctuary it afforded always de -stressed any accumulated business pressures. Wandering about the grounds one becomes completely immersed in its sheer tranquil beauty with nothing to intrude into the world except the sound of birdsong.

It has been said of The Beeches that this is a property that enters the market only once in every five lifetimes and one can surely appreciate why. Seldom does a property have such grounds, seldom does a home have such wealth of character and seldom does a house like this ever disappoint.

From the outset we always intended this to be a home for our family and in the event we have lived here very happily for more than thirty years. It has been the most wonderfully unique home which has also given us all a lifetime of happiness and some incredible memories. We would ask nothing of the new owners other than that they kindly agree to feed the ducks.*
