Hillside Cottages are situated on a private, shared drive entrance in a very attractive corner of the village. The cottage has a single aspect with a delightful cottage garden. Originally believed to be a row of cottages the property is attached and quite unique in appearance. The brickwork is mellow and rustic. The windows are a combination of box sash and casement. The low eaves are surmounted by a clay pantile roof with two recently rebuilt chimney stacks. The house is believed to date back to the mid 18th Century.

Internally the rooms are cosy and inviting. Old irregular shaped oak beams are a particular feature in the downstairs rooms. The accommodation briefly provides a reception hall, sitting room with old cast iron fireplace, dining room with wood burning stove and a spacious kitchen with a quarry tile floor. Downstairs also there is a utility room and toilet. The first floor accommodation provides four bedrooms, three of which are double sized and a fourth bedroom ideal as a nursery or study. The house bathroom is also upstairs and surprisingly spacious. A conservatory and studio provide additional amenity space to the house and great potential for further development.

Central heating is oil fired and the boiler recently serviced. In addition to rebuilding the chimney pots the flues are relined. External redecoration is also recently completed.

Beckingham village is situated just five miles east of Newark and by-passed by the A17 trunk road. The property is situated on Hillside which runs down to a cut with the River Witham.
