SUMMARY
A substantial 1930's family home with a large separate annexe/lodge set in approximately two acres of private mature garden.

DESCRIPTION
This great family home was originally built in the 1930s providing generously proportioned accommodation, now over three floors, with conversion of the attic space offering a further dimension to the versatility. Latterly a substantial detached two storey annexe/lodge was built in the grounds as ancillary accommodation, which would be ideal for an extended family, leisure purposes or perhaps for those who work from home.

Accommodation
The front porch opens into a huge central reception hall, which gives a wonderful feeling of space and grandeur. The two principal reception rooms lie at the front of the house, both with fireplaces and bay windows overlooking the front garden. At the back is a large kitchen/diner running the full width, fitted with a modern range of units and a separate utility room. Double casement doors open into a generous conservatory overlooking the back garden.

On the first floor there is the same sense of space with a large landing, a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, three further double bedrooms and a large family bathroom. A staircase leads up the second floor, where the attic has been converted into a huge space, ideal as an office or playroom, or perhaps a bed/sitting room. There is also access to two further storage areas.

The Lodge
This sizeable two storey building extends to nearly 1800 square feet, including the integral double length garage. Internally the accommodation requires updating as it hasn't been occupied for a while, but it currently offers a living room, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. Whilst the upstairs provides up to four bedrooms a shower room and an en suite bathroom.

Outside
The house is set well back on the plot, reached a long gravel driveway providing ample parking and turning space. The gardens are laid predominantly to lawn with interspersed with bushes and fruit trees, including original fruit trees from when the land was an orchard (according to local historians the fruit from Ashley Green used to supply Queen Victoria). There is an area of more formal garden adjacent to the lodge. There is a further garage/store at the bottom of the garden. The boundaries on all sides are enclosed by dense mature hedging, providing genuine privacy.
