" Originating we understand from the late 1700's offers excellent accommodation arranged over two floors. During its current ownership of fourteen years it has been the subject of extensive refurbishment creating a spacious and airy house of much charm and character. Through the front door into an entrance hall with cloakroom, which in turns open on to a square staircase hall set towards the centre of the house. The principal reception rooms are arranged to the south side and are characterised by high ceilings, decorative cornices and original fireplaces. The double aspect drawing room has a deep bay window with shutters whilst the dining room has a richly carved wooden chimney piece with mirror fronted over mantle. Wide wooden steps leading down to the family/tv room with utility room off. The double aspect kitchen has been recently created from three separate rooms giving now a fabulous core to the house, with French style windows to the south facing terrace and views over the garden. Fitted with a range of contemporary cabinetry, central island unit with breakfast bar, this is now a state-of-the-art cooking environment. From the central hall the double winder staircase breaks on the second flight opening into the studio room with French style windows and glazed cupola. Bedrooms open off the main corridor which leads through to a study and back stairs. The substantial master bedroom is particularly impressive with a bath/dressing room and range of sanitary ware, together with sizeable wardrobe space. There are four further bedrooms, two bathrooms (one being en-suite), a study and an ideal nanny/teenager suite with sitting room, bedroom, en-suite bathroom and back stairs leading to the ground floor rear lobby. The property is approached through electrically operated gates over a long drive which weaves through the tree lined gardens and culminates in a large parking sweep at the front of the house. To the rear is a large south facing garden terrace which is ideal for dining and entertaining with French style windows leading from the kitchen. To the east of the house, overlooked by the swimming pool is a stream which meanders through the grounds.
