OUTSIDE Number 27 enjoys a particularly pleasing location, being a short walk up to the many village facilities, a long driveway leads off Thorpe lane to the property itself. Please note the initial section of the driveway and indeed the initial section of the garden is rented from Kirklees council at a figure slightly below ?30 per annum. This long standing arrangement it is believed was once part of a desire by the council many years ago to widen Thorpe Lane. It should be noted that there are trees along Thorpe Lane, one such tree is in the area rented by number 27 and this has a tree preservation order on it. We are firmly of the belief that the road widening scheme has gone away and the large trees down Thorpe Lane would also prove to be an issue. GARDENS To the front, the garden is beautifully presented, with mature shrubbery and trees, which ensures the property is set well back from the road. To the side there is a continuation of the driveway and a timber gates leads through to the rear garden. This is once again of a particularly good size. It has well established and high quality boundaries, superb hard landscaping including pathways, patios and sitting out areas. There is also a vegetable garden area and beneath the garden shed there is a hardstanding that at one time was home for a detached garage.
