" Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and now a building of special interest, this individual Grade 2 listed cottage is cared for and maintained to a very high standard. There is a sense of space with good sized rooms and generous ceiling heights typical of this vernacular as well as a wide staircase with an easy rise to the first floor.
Middle Afton has a wealth of characterful features, including beautiful fireplaces in the bedrooms, an open fire in the living room and large landscape windows; the master bedroom window being 3.6 meters long. Of particular note is the kitchen & dining room, which is an ideal blend of old and new, there is a charming quarry tiled floor, oak cabinetry, an AGA, granite work tops, wine fridge and plenty of storage. Part of the kitchen is cleverly designed under the main chimney flue creating an impressive barrel ceiling. Upstairs and off the landing are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. The cottage is situated right in the heart of Milford village, which is particularly popular owing to its excellent local shops and other amenities, which include its church, chemist, garage and the very popular Secrett's Farm Shop. Other shops include the general corner stores, wine merchants, and a Tesco Express. The village also provides schools, doctors and dental surgeries, a regular bus service and train station serving London Waterloo in about 50 minutes. Milford also provides immediate access onto miles of open countryside, ideal for walkers and cyclists, as well as easy access onto the A3. Several highly regarded schools, including Rodborough, King Edwards in Witley and the Sixth Form College in Godalming are within easy reach.

There are two pretty courtyards one to the front and one to the rear of the cottage. A useful outbuilding consisting of 3 stores is located in the rear courtyard, the larger store is used as a utility room and there are power supplies and lighting to the building, which is perfect for garden tools. Continue through the arched gate and you will discover a "hidden oasis", the private garden has well stocked boarders, clipped lawns and hedges, specimen trees and a feature pond; it is an absolute delight and surprise for a property of this size, in this location. "
