" A charming Grade II listed Elizabethan farmhouse that has long been regarded as the principal residence in the local area. It dates from the 16th century and the house was refronted in the 18th century. The house is constructed of brick and stone elevations around a timber frame under a clay tile roof with accommodation set over three floors. The house is a superb example of a house from its period and is full of features such as parquet flooring, exposed ceiling and wall timbers, oak flooring and a fine inglenook fireplace with Bressumer beam over in the dining room. Of particular note is the large well proportioned drawing room with central fireplace and French windows to outside. The present owners have extended the fabulous kitchen, with oil-fired Aga, to create a circular breakfast room with French windows to a terrace, further utility areas and a morning room with views over the gardens.
