" The pleasing brick and Bargate Stone elevations with white rendering over, draw the eye to the front door which with its leaded light insert panels creates an immediate sense of arrival.

The door opens into a welcoming reception Hall where one is immediately impressed by the ceiling heights instantly characteristic of its period. There is a light oak stripped floor, which continues from the hall through all of the ground floor entertaining areas, and stairs rise to the first floor galleried landing. The hall retains its high skirtings and picture rails, which also continue throughout the house and these, together with the mellow Farrow & Ball colour influences, reinforce the sense of grandeur from a bygone era. The Sitting Room overlooks the front and has a deep square bay with specialist Retroglazed windows which offer the contemporary benefits of double glazing without prejudicing the elegant lines of the original painted wood frames. The sitting room has a log burner fitted into a carved mantel and surround, and double doors on parliament hinges open to the Dining Room. This room overlooks the decked area and garden beyond, and retains its period fireplace, which incorporates decorative patterned tiled inserts. From the dining room a casement door leads to the decking and garden, and a squared arch returns to the hall. The Kitchen has been refitted with white units in a shaker style under a black Zimbabwean granite work surface. There is a Rangemaster five ring gas hob with a polished steel double oven under. There is ample space for a breakfast / informal family dining table and chairs. From the hall an open tread staircase leads to the cellar, currently being used as a laundry/boot room (fully plumbed) and storage for wine.

The stairs rise from the hall to a galleried landing with a window providing ample natural light, and within the landing area there is access to the roof void via a ceiling hatch ( NB Planning Consent has been obtained for the conversion of the roof space to create a master suite of double bedroom and bathroom Planning Ref No PP WA/2011/2194. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms, one with twin built in double wardrobes, and a single bedroom presently used as a home office / study. The bathroom has been beautifully refitted with a Bette deep panel enclosed and thermally insulated bath with a separate power shower over, and a fitted hand spray attachment, a shaped Duravit pedestal hand basin and a low level flush w.c "
