" This beautiful property forms part of a manor house which was divided into four wonderful homes during the 1970s. This impressive building was built we understand, in about 1854 and is renowned in the village, being steeped in history. Hollowdene Lodge has been owned by the same occupier since 1993, who has extended and refitted the kitchen to include wooden units with granite work surfaces, created a utility area with vaulted ceiling and formed the cellar into a snug; ideal as a playroom or t.v. room. The sitting room and dining areas are particular features with an open fireplace and attractive arches, original sash windows and high ceilings. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, both with replaced architecturally designed windows having monkey tail handles, and a family bathroom. On the second floor the third bedroom is complemented by an en-suite shower room. For outside entertaining, there are two courtyards taking full advantage of the moving sun, and to the rear a gate leads into a beautiful, landscaped garden with shaped lawn and numerous mature beds all enclosed by high mature hedging creating a good deal of privacy.
* Entrance with step down to * Sitting/Dining Room - a lovely space with original sash windows, brick open fireplace with ample storage both sides, maple flooring, understairs storage cupboard and feature arches. * Kitchen which has been refitted with wooden units, granite work surfaces and under floor heating. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and pull-out larder. The kitchen was extended in recent years to the rear forming a Utility area with vaulted ceiling, Butler sink, wine fridge and door to the courtyard. Stairs from the drawing room lead down to a * Snug which was the cellar and has now been tanked and created into an ideal t.v. or playroom.
