" Situated in a quiet and attractive Victorian street in the heart of the town this is a pretty period property within a 10 minute walk of the mainline station and the town's historic cobbled High Street. The current owner has given the kitchen and bathroom a contemporary feel whilst retaining plenty of period features throughout the house as a whole, such as stripped pine doors and the original sash windows which add to the overall pleasure of the home. Entering the house on the side, a door immediately in front of you takes you down to the converted basement which is currently used as a study. The front reception is set up as a a dining room but could equally well be used as the sitting room as it boasts a pretty feature fireplace within built in shelves to either side. The second reception, currently used as the sitting room, gives access to the kitchen via an archway and from here also leads to the staircase to the first floor. The kitchen has been fitted with high gloss units and has a built in fridge/freezer, stainless steel double oven, electric hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Bifold doors opening from the kitchen onto the side return give an extra dimension of space and light while the bathroom beyond the kitchen has been given a contemporary make over and has a shower over bath. Part of the pleasure of the house is the fact that it is so central and is therefore within very easy reach of the myriad of bars and restaurants that line the High Street and as well as the multi screen cinema and the superb G Live music and events venue.
