" 1 Brodie Road is situated in the upper High Street conservation area adjoining Charlotteville and Pewley Downs. Brodie Road is widely regarded to be one of the better places to own a Victorian cottage in the centre of Guildford. Tucked behind the upper high street , it is close enough to offer all the convenience but less of the disturbance from the town centre, and is within easy walking distance of the train station and the first-class primary school, Holy Trinity. The property, built at the turn of the century, comprises a very charming semi-detached Victorian cottage with many of its original features retained. Such features include sash windows, exposed wooden floors, an open working fireplace in the dining room and very convenient dry storage areas in the loft and cellar. The kitchen is well equipped with a comprehensive range of wooden units including a fitted induction hob, integrated appliances and has a view over the rear garden. A notable point is that planning permission had been granted to extend the kitchen which has only recently expired.
