" Over the last few years the current owner has sympathetically restored this traditional Cotswold stone cottage with a purist conservation philosophy; all inappropriate accretions and materials such as cement and modern plasters have been removed throughout and replaced with lime-based materials, including lath and plaster ceilings. Windows have been replaced with bespoke, hand-made iron casements and glazed with conservation glass. Sheep?s wool and wood-fibre board have been used to thermally upgrade the cottage. The new under-floor heating in the living room compliments the wood-burning stove along with the Aga in the kitchen. This might be the driest, cosiest cottage you will find.

An open porch leads to front door opening into a small inner hall with a tessellated floor & doors off to both sitting room & kitchen/breakfast room. Both of these ground floor rooms have double aspect windows & lime stone flooring (Sitting room even has under floor heating). The handmade bespoke fitted kitchen is complemented by an electric aga and other fitted appliances. The sitting room enjoys the warmth from a centrally located wood burner with stone surround & mantel making a delightful focal point. Access to the first floor is via a spiral staircase with orginal elm steps. Both bedrooms enjoy a pretty aspect over the garden & beyond. The bathroom has been designed for both preferences of a bath with shower over, a traditional styled pedestal wash basin & WC. There is an attic which is accessed via a alternating steps wooden ladder which is currently used as a kids overflow bedroom.
