" This wonderful 1960s Modern house sits on a 1/3 acre plot withspectacular far-reaching views towards the Forest of Dean. Designed bythe architect Gerry Jones for his own occupation, the four-bedroom houseis distinguished by many features found in the finestarchitect-designed properties of this period. Floor to ceiling glassalong much of the rear elevation allows for maximum light and viewsacross the gardens to the landscape beyond. The sleek, low-lying profileof the house make this a classic example of Mid-Century Modern design.

Theproperty has a large and well-kept garden to the rear (this is, for themost part, sloped) and side courtyard where original slabs of the Romanroad through Gloucestershire can be seen. There is also aJapanese-style garden to the front. Internally the house could benefitfrom some updating, especially the kitchen and potentially with theheating system

(currently run from gas cylinders). The roof, designedand built by John Stanley of Olympia & York and crowned with acopper chimney, is well-insulated and in good structural condition. Theis also a sizable workshop/greenhouse building on the property.

Thehouse is situated on a small residential no-through road in the smallhamlet of Little London. Little London forms part of Longhope, a villageon the edge of the Forest of Dean that lies 10 miles from the cathedralcity of Gloucester.
