" Welcome to Number 2, Riverdale Apartments, a wonderful three double bedroom, three-bathroom duplex apartment situated within a wonderful red brick building that dates back to 1859 which sits on the banks of the Severn and so enjoys a sensational view of the river and beyond

The village of Newnham-On-Severn is a delightful village located on the bank of the River Severn. The village has a tree lined main street, reminding you on the imminent surroundings of woodland with many listed buildings. In the centre of the village is a prominent clock tower, an array of delightful shops selling local crafts and antiques, books. The village also benefits from a post office, village store, public house as well as a doctors surgery, butchers, primary school and an interior decorating company.

The larger towns and cities of Gloucester, Chepstow and Cheltenham are within close proximity with Cheltenham being the furthest away at 16 miles. Whilst Cheltenham is renowned for its period architecture, the shopping on the Promenade and of course Cheltenham races, Gloucester has the famous Docks, whilst there are fabulous facilities at Gloucester Quays to include an array of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and a cinema.

Returning to the property, the building is large and imposing from the outside and sits tall and proud in its setting. Large double wooden doors leads into the communal areas where the apartment is accessed.

Stepping straight into the apartment`s kitchen, one cannot help but be impressed. The first thing one notices is the floor to ceiling sash window which not only floods the room fill of natural light but allows one to enjoy the view that this property affords. The next thing you notice is the quality of the kitchen, finished off with a stripped, waxed wooden floor.

The room also benefits from a number of fitted wardrobes and a recently fitted wet room styled en suite shower room. Above the fitted wardrobes and continuing over the en suite shower room is a large loft storage area.

The guest bedroom is also a double bedroom and faces west, so enjoying the evening sun. The room is beautifully finished and has an en suite shower room.

A staircase from the drawing room leads downwards to the lower floor, which sits level with the property`s communal gardens. This floor in contrast to the upper floor is more modern in its finish yet offers accommodation very much in keeping with the floor above.

Offering a spacious reception room which the current owners use as a TV room and office, a fitted kitchen, which enjoys a wealth of fitted cupboards and the final double bedroom which benefits from an array of fitted wardrobes and like the upper bedrooms, is completed by a very modern, four piece en suite bathroom, with separate corner shower.

A door from the reception space leads to the properties communal garden which is predominantly lawned yet also features a paved terrace and to the head of the garden is a decked terraced where one can sit, read and relax whilst taking in the view of the river.
