SITUATION AND AMENITIES Set on the edge of Atherington village which is a typical, rural North Devon village with shop/ Post Office and old Saxon Church. About one mile away is a petrol station/Londis store. The neighbouring village of High Bickington is approximately one and a half miles away and offers a primary school, further village shops, popular pubs, doctors surgery, leisure centre and golf course. Also within easy access are the market towns of Torrington and South Molton, Barnstaple is about nine miles and as the regional centre houses the areas main business, commercial, leisure and shopping venues. The town is also well known for its exclusive range of outlets including all of the High Street favourites as well as a diverse selection of local stores. The Pannier Market dates back to the Saxon period and The North Devon Leisure Centre provides many indoor pursuits along with the Tarka Tennis Centre, both in Barnstaple. Live theatres are accessible at Barnstaple and Ilfracombe whilst other sporting and leisure pursuits are close at hand. North Devon's rugged coastline including the popular resorts of Appledore, Croyde, Instow and Woolacombe are all easily accessible as is Exmoor. At Barnstaple there is access to the North Devon Link Road leading through to Junction 27 of the M5, whilst Barnstaple railhead provides a link to the national railway system at Exeter which is also about 35 miles by car. Follow this road into Atherington Village, at the junction bear left and then immediately right onto the High Bickington road, proceed for a few hundred yards and the property will be found on the left hand side.
