DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION

Wynards is a totally unique development of converted, Grade II* listed medieval town cottages in an historic city centre location, parts of which are believed to date back to 1462. Constructed mainly of local Heavitree stone, the buildings are set around a spacious and extremely handsome cobbled courtyard with feature well house. Period joinery and stone masonry abound the development, and along with details such as the many original solid timber doors and mullion windows, compound the air of grace and character that the properties exude.

The conversion of the house has been painstaking and very sympathetic to the period building. An array of small features, such as the stained timber interior doors with their period style furniture and period style moulded skirtings do much to define the quality and thought put into the conversions. Some very fitting finishing touches of superb quality have been incorporated, including installing solid oak wide plank flooring to the two main reception rooms, along with the reinstatement of two original and very impressive Heavitree stone fireplaces.

Number 8, shares a spacious communal garden and courtyard with the other properties. However, unlike most of the other properties in the development, number 8 also has its own, private garden, which again is beautifully landscaped.

It really is extremely difficult to impress upon a prospective purchaser the style and feeling of this property, being so close, yet so tucked-away from the bustle of the city centre - it very much needs to be seen to be appreciated. The agents feel that it would suit a vast array of prospective purchasers from the self-confessed city dweller in search of something a little special, to perhaps a professional working in Southernhay or the new law courts, looking for a convenient base.

LOCATION

Situated in the heart of the City, Wynards is within walking distance of the multitude of facilities the City has to offer, ranging from shopping and entertainment to scholastic. The excellent Hotel Barcelona is just a stone's throw away, as is the historic and picturesque Quay area with it's cafes and antique shops. Exeter's two rail stations are within easy reach as are the M5 motorway and International airport.

DIRECTIONS

Wynards can be found almost opposite the Hotel Barcelona, just off the inner bypass. For viewers, it is most convenient in the first instance to park in the public car park, just across from the development.
