DESCRIPTION This delightful stone built cottage (end of three) is believed to date back to approximately 1800 being built as a railway cottage forming part of the Earl of Portsmouth Estate which covered much of the surrounding countryside.

LAPFORD, a large parish and village, lies just north of the main A377 Exeter / Barnstaple road approximately 9 miles from Crediton and 16 miles from Exeter. On the edge of the village is a railway station and there is a regular daily bus service from the heart of the village. The parish church, St Thomas of Canterbury, is of perpendicular style and has a fine 16th century rood screen.

DIRECTIONS From Crediton take the A377 through Copplestone and Lapford, 2 miles from Lapford on the A377 is the hamlet of Chenson and the property is on the left hand side backing onto the road.
