SITUATION:  Allington Mead is situated on the northern outskirts of Bridport within convenient walking distance for facilities in the town centre.  Bridport is an active market town situated in an area designated as being one of outstanding natural beauty, with the immediate coastline having been granted World Heritage status.  The sea and coast at West Bay is approximately 1.5 miles due south and here there is a fishing harbour and 18-hole golf course.

Dorchester, the County Town of Dorset, lies about 15 miles to the east and here there is a main line rail service to London, Waterloo.
