SITUATION:  St Andrews Road is a long established residential area with no through traffic and only about 10 minutes' level walking distance from the town centre with all its amenities, as well as being in easy reach of primary and secondary schools.

Bridport offers an excellent range of shopping facilities, social amenities including a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool together with a twice-weekly street market.  The coastal resort of West Bay is about 1.5 miles due south with its extended harbour and beach facilities together with fishing and an 18-hole golf course.  The immediate coastline is designated as a World Heritage site and extends from Portland to Seaton.  
Dorchester, the County Town of Dorset, lies about 15 miles to the east and here there is a main line rail service to London, Waterloo.
