Now a Grade II listed cottage it boasts many character features in its rooms and narrow staircases and with its foundations of ships timbers is thought to date back to the 18th Century.

The accommodation comprises a time warp shop premises, snug kitchen and a bathroom on the ground floor, on the first floor there are two bedrooms and on the second floor there is a sitting room. Outside there is a Fish House set over two floors, a garage and a walled garden with an open fronted out house and a WC.

The property is located in Portland. The Isle of Portland is a 4 mile (6km) long by 1.5 mile (2.4km) wide limestone island in the English Channel, 5 miles (8km) south of Weymouth, forming the southern most point or the county of Dorset. The Island is connected to the mainland by Chesil Beach and by the A354 road bridge to Weymouth.

The Island is a central part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with a spectacular landscape important ecology and bird life. Beaches and coves can also be found scattered around Portland as well as the famous lighthouse situated on a rocky outcrop known as Portland Bill.

Portland is notable for its large, deep harbour which was an important Royal Navy base and training base until the 1990's, though now a civilian port and popular recreation area for water sports. England's National Sailing Academy is situated at the harbour and will host all of the sailing events for the London-based 2012 Olympics.
