DESCRIPTION Hillview is a character filled 1960s chalet bungalow that has been lovingly extended and improved upon by the current owners. The house enjoys a secluded elevated position affording spectacular views over its own garden and the countryside beyond. The house is of a tastefully washed render beneath a tiled roof, benefitting from wooden clad Dorma windows, one with a Juliet balcony. The present owners opened up the downstairs living accommodation which has created a home with light and spacious rooms and proportions. The good sized family sitting room has French doors that lead directly on to the veranda, making this an ideal spot for al fresco dining or a relaxing sun downer. The house was also modernised at this time with a new oil fired central heating system, replacement UPVC sealed unit windows, a contemporary semi-open plan kitchen and quality bathroom fittings. The attention to detail stretches to the polished marble tiles used in the hall and porch, solid oak internal doors, oak staircase, wood clad Dormas and the well designed veranda. The master bedroom, on the ground floor, has an en-suite shower room whilst the guest bedrooms upstairs make the most of the glorious views and provide the house with a further two bedrooms and cloak room. All this work has been carried out to a high decorative finish. OUTSIDE The property stands in a secluded patch of West Dorset with a mature, well stocked garden. The gardens lie to the back and side of the property and are predominantly laid to lawn with a raised veranda, dotted with specimen trees and a variety of shrubs and flowers.
