The Area

Wolsingham has a good range of every day facilities including doctors and dentist surgeries, chemist, independent grocers and other local businesses. The village is home to a primary school providing mixed education for 5 to 11 years of age, whilst Wolsingham School and Community College provides mixed schooling for 11 to 18 years of age. Both are within short walking distance of the property.

Wolsingham is found in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is known as the ?Gateway to Weardale?. Surrounding countryside provides the setting for outdoor, leisure and country pursuits and stunning surrounding scenery is linked by a network of public footpaths, perfect for evening and weekend walks. Whilst retaining its rural aspect access is easily available to the major regional business centres such as Darlington, Durham and Newcastle and from here links to all areas of the UK can be found by rail. Newcastle International Airport and Durham Tees Valley Airport are both within an hour by car and offer both domestic and international flights.

The Property

2 Cooperative Terrace is located on a quiet street which borders the Waskerley Beck close to the centre of Wolsingham. It is a spacious property with character and flexibility within the layout, making it an ideal family home.

A wooden entrance door leads into a bright and spacious hallway with stairs rising to the first floor straight ahead and the living room to your left hand side.

The sitting room has traditional built in cupboards and also a multi fuel burning stove set into an inglenook with impressive wooden lintel over. There is a under stair storage cupboard which in turn leads into a cloak room. The sitting room is open plan into the bright and spacious sun room which is currently used as an informal dining room. The sun room has a clear glass ceiling which provides ample light, a tiled floor and door which leads out to the rear patio area.

Leading from the sun room is the modern kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a good range of wood effect wall and base mounted storage units, which are topped with contrasting working surfaces and incorporate a stainless sink and drainer unit. There are integral appliances which include a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and electric oven with gas hob. The walls are tiled to splash back level, there are spotlights to the ceiling and tiled floor which continues from the sun room.

To the first floor there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a double and is situated to the rear of the property and has a decorative fire place with open grate and sash window. The second bedroom is also a good sized double, again it has a decorative fireplace and a sash window to the from aspect. The third bedroom is a small double and is situated to the front of the property.

The family bathroom is also situated to the first floor and is a spacious room which is fitted with a modern white suite. The suite includes a low level WC, wash hand basin set onto a pedestal, panel closed bath and separate shower cubicle. The floor is laid with wooden floor boards, the walls are part tiled and there recessed spotlights to the ceiling.
