Angate Street is located close to the centre of the popular market town of Wolsingham which has a good range of every day facilities including doctors and dentist surgeries, chemist, independent grocers and other local businesses. The village is home to a primary school providing mixed education for 5 to 11 years of age, whilst Wolsingham School and Community College provides mixed schooling for 11 to 18 years of age. Both benefit from impressive OfSted reports and are within short walking distance of the property. In addition to this an exceptional range of public schools are available at Barnard Castle, Darlington, Durham and Newcastle.

Wolsingham is found in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is known as the ?Gateway to Weardale?.
