The Area
Cotherstone is a much favoured Teesdale village supporting a traditional range of amenities including post office/stores, two public houses, church, chapel and primary school. It has two village greens and comprises an interesting variety of houses and cottages.

The nearby historic town of Barnard Castle provides a broader range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities and is often referred to as the gateway to Teesdale. There are many renowned beauty spots close at hand, beyond which can be found the delights of North Yorkshire, Weardale, the Lake District, Northumberland and the East Coast.

For the commuter the A66, A67 and A1 (M) provide links with the major commercial centres of the North East. Darlington Mainline Railway Station and Durham Tees Valley International Airport offer further communications with the rest of the country.


The Property

To the first floor there are three bedrooms along with a useful landing area. The master bedroom is located to the front of the property and is a generous double room having a window overlooking the front garden.

The second bedroom is also a good sized double room which lies to the rear of the property having a feature cast iron fireplace and window overlooking the rear garden and fields beyond. The third bedroom is a single room which lies to the front of the property and is currently utilised as a home office/study.

A wrought iron gate leads into the front garden which is enclosed by a dry stone wall with flower boarders and lawn.

To the rear of the property a further enclosed garden which has a patio area, lawned area, flower borders and a mature apple tree. At the bottom of the garden there are two stone built outdoor stores and a pedestrian gate which leads out to the back lane. The property enjoys a pedestrian and vehicular right of way over the back lane, which creates the opportunity to create off street parking.

From the centre of Barnard Castle proceed down The Bank and over County Bridge bearing around to the right. Proceed through Lartington and into Cotherstone where the subject property will be found on your left hand side before reaching the village green.
