Berengarth is situated close to the village green in Moulton, which is one of the area's most highly regarded villages with a collection of fine traditional houses including Moulton Hall owned by the National Trust and the renowned Black Bull Inn. The nearby villages of Scorton and Middleton Tyas provide extensive amenities and the pretty market town of Richmond is only some 6 miles to the west. For those who enjoy country pursuits, Moulton is located in between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks. The A1 is just a short drive providing easy access both north and south to the principal centres of the region. The east coast mainline runs services from Edinburgh to London Kings Cross with most trains stopping at Darlington and Northallerton. Turn off the A1 at the Scotch Corner junction (A66) and follow the signs to Middleton Tyas off the roundabout. Follow the road into Middleton Tyas and turn right following the signs to Moulton.
