" Set back on the edge of one of the most sought after villages close to cathedral city of Durham, we are delighted to offer a re-modelled and totally refurbished semi detached cottage and garage that is being sold with no upward chain. The extensive works include the installation of a new gas heating system with one of the latest combi boilers as well as the installation of modern bathrooms and a luxury kitchen, however the cottage has retained a lot of its original charm with beams, a feature fireplace and sympathetic lighting and neutral decor adding to the overall atmosphere. The principal entrance hall leads directly into a lounge with a feature fireplace and inset wood-burning stove. There are patio doors leading into the rear gardens. The dining room has wooden flooring and doors that lead out onto the decked front veranda. An arch leads into the luxury galley kitchen with a whole range of Hotpoint and Smeg appliances as well as a most impressive Cooke and Lewis sink. There is extensive wooden working surface which is enhanced by a mosaic tiled splash-back. The twisting staircase leads to the galleried landing with a useful range of stores and a doorway into the master suite which has an en-suite bathroom. An enclosed inner landing leads to two further bedrooms, bedroom 2 has a new dormer window to the rear and door into en suite bathroom. Outside a sweeping shared driveway is lined by woodland to one side and leads to a larger then average integral garage with the boiler as well as plumbing for a washing machine. There is a patio garden at the rear which could also offer further parking. Viewing is the only way to fully appreciate the way in which modern conveniences have been blended with the charm and character of a truly unique cottage.
