Location

Northumberland Heath is more commonly referred to locally as ''North Heath'' and is often considered to be part of upper Erith. Bordered by Barnehurst, Belvedere, Bexleyheath, Slade Green and Crayford. The area now known as Northumberland Heath was originally part of the ancient Saxon manor of Earhythe or Erith as we know it today. The name means to the north of the ''humbre'' which was the word for stream or river, presumably a tributary of the River Cray.

Northumberland Heath has a variety of affordable properties to choose from keeping the housing market buoyant in this area. Much of the housing stock is Victorian with some 1940's council developments and a Cottage estate known as 'Vickers style' built for local workers in 1916.

The Lesney Park conservation area is much requested along with the 'ABC' roads which are sought after.

Open seven days per week and offering a wide range of local and national retailers including names like Matalan, Argos, Iceland, and Wilkinsons.
