" An amazing transformation is how we would best describe this detached village home for sale in the enchanting village of Barby.

Thought, care and attention have gone into transforming the downstairs living space in this home. It is a real example of "bringing the garden inside".

The original property dates back to the times when platforms were in fashion but is now a modern, contemporary home.

Don't take our word for it, take a look at the virtual tour and see for yourself.

The current owners have created an immaculately presented home, all the work has been done so you don't have to.

From the block-paved driveway, the recently built porch through to the solid oak bi-folding doors and porcelain tiles, EVERYTHING has been given great attention.

The new porch is a great space to remove muddy wellies if you have been out walking in the surrounding countryside.

The lounge is a lovely size with solid oak flooring and a great-sized window which lets in loads of light. It even has a fabulous multi-fuel log burner for those cosy winter evenings.

The piece de resistance with this home is the stunning open-plan kitchen/family room. This really does have to be viewed to fully appreciate the space. The 'heart of the home', the current owners use this area from breakfast time through to the evening.

The solid oak bi-folding doors bring the garden indoors in the summer. During winter, the under-floor heating and range cooker make it a warm environment to spend time in.

There's a study area with a vaulted ceiling and skylights as well as a huge picture window that transform working from home in to a pleasure. Barby benefits from having super-fast fibre optic broadband, too!

Upstairs all three bedrooms are fabulous sizes and the family bathroom has a separate shower cubicle as well as a bath, under floor-heating and heated towel rails.....

Outside, the house sits in the middle of the plot so the garden wraps itself beautifully around it.

There are delightful areas in which to sit and have morning coffee, dine al-fresco or watch the children play.

Situated in the picturesque village of Barby this home needs to be viewed.

Barby is located approximately 5 miles from Rugby and about 7 miles from Daventry. The village is located on a hill overlooking valleys and is close to the Oxford canal. The village contains a garden centre, pub, shop and post office along with a church and school.

Barby Cricket Ground is located opposite the windmill on Longdown Lane. The club plays in the Warwickshire League and runs successful men's, women's and junior sides.

Being close to all major road junctions and nearby train stations, this really does offer "the best of both worlds".

We love this home and would be delighted to show you around.
