GENERAL Number 63 Church Walk is a charming semi detached early Victorian cottage located in the highly regarded village of Shackerstone. The cottage is in an idyllic setting on Church Walk overlooking St Peters Church. The cottage has considerable character with beamed ceilings, latched and braced doors and was substantially extended in 1990 and has been further improved over the subsequent years. The works have been carried out with great sensitivity to preserve the original character of this magnificent cottage. There is a fabulous cottage garden which has been laid out with considerable style. LOCATION Shackerstone is without doubt one of the most exclusive villages in the area and is set amongst some of West Leicestershire's finest countryside. There is a public house in the village and a highly regarded primary school which lies between Shackerstone and the village of Congerstone. The Ashby canal runs past the village and there is also a small railway station which serves the battlefield lines. In the summer there are often steam trains running between Shackerstone and Shenton. The historic town of Market Bosworth lies to the South where there are some interesting shops and restaurants overlooking the Market Place. After leaving the town turn right where signposted to Carlton and Congerstone. Take the first left turn towards Congerstone. Pass through Congerstone and onto Shackerstone. In Shackerstone turn right into Church Road following the road round. Church Walk is on the left hand side immediately past the pub. Although you can drive up Church Walk we suggest you park on Church Road .
